I got a new key board from my oldest son, a hug from my youngest son. Hubby got me a dozen roses and ordered me some make up. I got texts all day from the young people that call me momma. The three girls that call me momma have kids . my sons have never married. And have no kids, but I have ten that call me grandma. They are the joy of my life.

I was surprised with a bouquet of roses(more surprised they are still beautiful after 3 days) from a friend and dinner, and a phone call and a 'blank' cookbook from my daughter who lives in Montana. There was quite a story behind that, she wants me to put all my favorite family recipes in one safe place so the cookbook can be handed down to her, then her daughter and so on. Getting new pictures of the gc was especially nice(ages 21 months-21 yrs.).I have been wanting to see my gc for the longest time but 21 months ago my daughter had a little girl. She's already 40 lbs and 36 inches tall. I find that so hard to believe.God willing we will go for a visit this summer sometime. We started making plans Mother's Day.Hope nothing gets in our way to change that.

I actually got to have my mother visit for the week prior to Sunday... which was nice! We did get the bad news about my dog, Lady Bug, on Suday, but GOD was very good and answered prayer about finding the serum to begin treatment... so overal, it was a great time.

Deanna, I had a wonderful day with the family on Saturday - my daughter and her husband sponsor a Mother's Day - May Birthday's BBQ each year - it is always well attended - as there are a couple of us Mother's there - but mostly May Birthday people, too. Hehehe! My son also was there - it was so good to see the family - Rick enjoyed himself alot - it was good to be doing something besides going to therapy and doctor's appointments - for that we are grateful. Sheila, my daughter got me a lovely digital photo frame - I will have to set it up and take a picture of it - soon. Travis, my son got me a wonderful back massager - that hooks onto any chair - that also has heat - just what this old back needed, for sure. Rick was able to log online and get me a bouquet of flowers sent to me - what a shock that was - they are lovely - I will share a picture here, along with the family, too.

First of all my husband gave me a diamond necklace from Kay Jewelers "Love's Embrace," talk about knocking me off my feet and taking my breath away. Then my son,DIL and GD gave me a jacket and my little GD had a handful of daises for me and my daughter and her boyfriend cooked dinner for me. A very nice Mothers Day I would say. My daughter also gave me a card, she always gives me one to make me teary eyed. But best of all is spending time with family. Sara

I got this t-shirt from my grandsons. They are so thoughtful for being just 8 weeks and 2-1/2 :) Anyway, it's embroidered and I thought the design is so cute. Too bad it doesn't fit--I'm keeping it anyway! The little silver dots and hearts are plastic and glued on--wonder where they came from?

I wonder if you could make a pillow out of it, seeing it doesn't fit? Or cut it out and have it framed?

daisy530 by daisy530 11 May 2010

I could--but really need to get some weight off :)

shirlener88 by shirlener88 11 May 2010

My GD is taking a business course in college.
She competed in a Business Presentation contest, won 1st place in Okla. and won an all expense trip to Anaheim Ca. to compete there in the nationals! She just got home yesterday and brought me a Hollywood Plate for Mother's Day to add to my collection. Oh, and by the way, she took 2nd place in the national competition! You bet, I'm proud of her!

I was totally surprised by my stepson and wife who brought me a bouquet of flowers and a card, have been with his father for over 10yrs and this was the first yr this has ever happened, Then my DIL came over with my GC and they gave me new pics in frame and a card. So happy to get the pic's, then I cooked dinner for my DIL as her gift LOL so she didn't have to cook and clean for mothers day.
Hope others have had a great day too!!!

We had a lovely day yesterday for Mothers day , the family all came around and spent the afternoon and stayed for dinner.
It was great all sitting around the dinner table.
I got spoiled, the dishwasher was packed for me and the bigger things were all washed.I did not do any dishes or cleaning up afterwards.

Got 2 lovely bunches of flowers, cards, makeup and beautiful up to date printed pictures of the Granddaughter .

Hugs Yvonne

I did too - off to church with my Mother - then went to a local park with Dana and the children. I got KD Lang's new CD Recollection and the CD set of La Boheme with Andrea Bocelli. A cake of soap from Ryke and a card that he had written in his dear little 4 year old printing. A beautiful canvas print of all the children's hands and some licorice (I love licorice). Amy gave me beautiful words in porcelain saying "Family, Home and Love" she said it's for my new kitchen which will be starting in June - can't wait! and Ben is coming tomorrow with his!

A great day too as the weather was fabulous!
