Lena Mae, this is wonderful - you started with a large project - how old were you?
I was 30 when I did this but it was the first quilt I completely made and hand quilted by my self.I played with peasing blocks with my granny when I was 7. I always try to do the bigest or smallest thing the harder it is the better i like to do it
I come up with a idea and I have to try to do what I think of.I love to do quilts buy I can not quilt them any more I have to have some one do it for me
What a beautiful quilt lenamae, and precious quilt for your mother on mothers day.

Great job. I am also working on my first and I hope it turns out as beautiful as yours
You created a gift to go from one family member to another, you should write down how you made it, why you made it and add that information in a little note book so others will have it to remember. This is a wonderful memory quilt...for a first timer instinct is often the best method of design. I applaud you.
Thank you so much I still remember every thing about making that quilt even to how sore my fingers were when I finished quilting it.I could still write it down.
It's beautiful and I especially like the babies you made. A lovely heirloom!

What a beautiful heirloom. I hope that it continues to pass into the hands of family members who love and care for it.
My sister got it and I am sure one of her girls will get it or I will ask for it.one.I do not think it will leave the family.
