Hi I am embroidering a flower on a towel but the towel is to thick for the hoop - I was sure I saw an article about basting to hold it together.

I have ruined one towel because it went off line very badly
Can any cutie advise me - thanks xxx

If you go to the link below you will be able to download a zip file with all the basting stitches I have digitised.

What brand of software do you have? I use Artista and I went online to Bernina and downloaded a free set of basting stitches for the various hoops I have. They have come in very handy.

I pin my towels to the stabilizer real close to the edge of the hoop, just watch to make sure the needle doesn't hit any pins near the edge. I did have it hit one before, went right through the head of the pin, glad my fingers don't have to be there LOL

1. Here is a link to free basting stitches.

When I made my own I used the single stitch frame that came with my machine. I made it larger or smaller to fit my frames and saved them on the machine to make them convenient.
