Claire you have done a wonderful job well done Hugsss
Very nice Claire. I like the way you quilted it. I have never seen one quilted this way.
Thank you, I got my inspiration for the quilting from some of the infinity quilt block designs. Cheers Claire
Claire, this is lovely work - as usual for you - I can see why your Mum loved it, too. What are the colors in it - this picture seems to me in the yellow & brown tones - but not sure that is the picture or your quilt color?
Thank you Shirlene. The central colour is a light cream and the border is purple with a narrow emerald green slick between the 2. The pansies are purple, pink and yellow and the lattice work and my quilting are all done in gold. Unfortunately different computers display images in some funny colours! Cheers Claire
Beautiful work! Tastes great!

No I get to see it Claire. These designs are also on Card 76. Aren't they lovely. Oops , Well done for your Quilt Claire, more in the pipeline Hmmmmmm
I'm not sure if they are on that brother card as it isn't one I have, but yes the designs are lovely!!! 2010 is my year to get into quilting, I already have the fabric for another one. Hugs Claire
This is great. Love your pattern. Where did you get the big fan stitches? What pattern is it? I'm also new at quilting. I do alot of embroidery, but finished my first quilt in April 2010. Colleen Marie
Hi Colleen, the fan patterns are my own creation using mainly straight stitching with an inbuilt fancy stitch every now and then!!! I'm not confident with stippling yet so I decided I needed to come up with a design using straight lines. The central star is just straight lines at 6mm intervals, and the fan shape is at 20mm intervals on the inside edge and they all terminate in a point at the outside edge. Cheers Claire
This is beautiful I love it. I bet your mom was excited to get this.
Lenamae
Thanks Lenamae - and yes my mum doesn't normally make many comments on things that I do, but she seemed to really like this one. Ciao Claire
