Kay, just pick up the phone and call me if you need something. At least it is a local call and not long distance! Good luck on a speedy delivery of the new modem! Since it is Bell South, maybe they will get it out and on the way in a hurry! In the meantime you can visit your friend and use their machine if you really need something! How frustrating. But we will all be right here waiting for you when your 'puter is healed.

It is amazing how much these machines have control over our lives. I couldn't be without my computer. We will look for you when you get back.

My poor, poor Kay, stranded on an island with no computer..... (at least that is what it felt like to me when I had a problem with mine.) We will wait on you.;)

Jerrilyn, I was without my lifeline for almost 3 months the first of the year. I was nuts without it. I did not even have a temp. fix of being able to use someone elses machine. It was a bad time as I am home bound and the computer is my lifeline to the outside.
