Eek; we've had mice, moles, voles, racoons, possoms, owls, hawks, deer, rabbits, snakes, etc. Don't like the snakes at all...
My family physician spent most of my last visit to him telling me about the Copperhead (poisonous) snakes that got into his house (and he's a neighbor), so I worried a lot. Maybe a predator animal can get the thing out of the wall for you??? (Without getting stuck.)
Will pray for your shoulder and for the smell to dissapate.

We lived on the VA side of DC for 35 yrs. & had snakes there too! And,yes, copperheads. The Park Service told me to GET a black snake as they ate copperheads! Really! Like I'm going to go blacksnake hunting & then tell it he has to stay around MY house to eat the copperheads!! So I'll leave the blacksnake alone, but hope I don't see it very often!! It DOES go after the bird eggs & babies, which I do not like. But the raccoons ate all the bluebird eggs this year!! Know it was raccoons as the nest was torn up & a coon can get it's "arm" in the hole to grap it.

Oh gerry I had this happen to me once. It was in a mid summer month like July. I spent a fortune on deodorizers trying to cover up the scent in the house( some of them were worse than what was evidently a mouse) LOL it took several weeks but finally dissipated so I guess it was a mouse. We have a lot of squirrels & chipmonks running around in yard & trees so I was afraid it was one of them . I hope it is getting better for you./Lillian

Gee, isn't this a good time to have guests come to visit? I was a country girl so I know what you are going through. Maybe God thinks you need to heal a little more before you dive head first into all those wonderful projects that are piling up.

You could well be right!! I do tend to rush things sometimes!! So I'll be good & stay out of the sewing room at least another week!! I really can't do much anyway.

Your problem sounds not too good but glad that you are able to do something about it.

Got a super dooper odor absorber at Lowes last night & it's worked! It's a gel, nice frag., but a good size jar. Just the faintest odor now, so my DH says. I don't have a sense of smell due to allergies! At least something good came out of that! CAN smell a rose, however!

Oh I am so glad you found a solution. Now stay away from the snake. :)

Don't worry! I take the Bible seriously & it says God put enmity between the woman & the snake!! :-) (Yes, I know the real meaning of that verse, but it's a good excuse to be afraid of snakes!!!!)

Poor you, nothing smells worse than a dead animal. We also live in the woods and are dealing with coons upsetting my flowers and digging them up. Time to get the tender trap out in order to save my plants. Love the animals, but they can be a pain at times. Good luck on the timing of your starting to sew again and the smell being gone. Judy
