I seem to spend more time organising the free downloads so I can find them later. The modem needs to be plug into the computer & the sewing machine is in a different room but next yr after the contract is up I'm going to get mobile broadband so I can be anywhere & still get on the net.
Now while the embroidery sews out, I iron or use the other the machine.
NO. I was only going to say no, but apparently that isn't enough for it to be recognized as an answer. It's not so much the downloads as it is reading posts and wandering off to other sites. The sad part is that I should have all the time available since I am retired.
Yes and No
Most of my time is spent on fine tuning how I want my project to look. (see link)
To download a freebie takes a minute...
To put designs together to my liking can take days if not weeks.
To search my files for the perfect design (in my mind) for my next project... infinity.
Yes. I set up my machine and let her go. I try to download to my thumbdrive. When I have time I organize the designs. Now the better question is-Who has time for housework?
The way to get some work done - is start your machine with a design - before you sign on - change the threads - when need be - you need to get up and stretch between downloads anyway - before you know it - you have a design stitched and your can go on to a second one and still have time to download for another half hour or so while it stitches - you would be amazed at how much you can stitch out - while you are downloading. Just do it.
But Shirlene I am still so fascinated in watching that machine produce the design. To me this is still amazing.
I enjoy watching it, as well - but once you get into a groove and you have something else to do - you do get tired of sitting there. Hehehe!
None yet--hope to get after it soon though!
It is more fun to collect. I never really have to time to get around to it. Too many chores to do first.
I always wonder the same thing! Thank you to everyone for all the freebies.
No, not very much. My husband tells me I need to stitch out what I already have.
Mine would have said the same thing. I would need another lifetime if I were to stitch out all that I have collected, but.......
