From what I have read from the numerous postings about this...
1. The designs were removed and now they are back.
2. Maybe the site owner Veronika found out that all is ok and reposted them? (I find it hard to believe she would delete designs and not ban the offender)
3. It is not possible that they have a virus.
4. The original artwork is in question (maybe larchik is the original person that created these designs?) It has not been proven if larchik is or is not.
5. Unless the person from the site that the link is posted files a complaint, why is everyone presuming the worst? Maybe larchik purchased the rights?
6. I am sure at least one member has contacted the gloria-pat site and given her detailed info about the posted designs and I would think this will be resolved shortly (I can only pray)
7. I am sorry but from ALL of the postings this seems to be an embroidery design witch hunt, it is a bit upsetting considering everyone here has so much love of community. If anyone had/has a concern why didn't they just contact gloria-pat and veronika and let it get settled between the 2 of them? 9 larchik posts in 4 pages is over kill.
Hi Psst no I don't believe in a witch hunt either and won't partake in it, neither would I be part of saying nasty things like the stuff that happened to Yoriko - for this I have too much respect for others and their viewpoints and get to much enjoyment from the site. I've only tried to ease the concerns regarding viruses as this was also my concern. At least seeing what I did I feel comfortable about the safety of my machines as I also downloaded the designs and that was what I hoped to pass onto others still worrying. Unfortunately it will remain to be a concern untill someone clarifies. It is my honest believe that if anything is wrong with the designs like a violation of copyright etc it was not deliberate but ignorance. The designs are very pretty and like I have said in the past I am grateful for everyone posting in DBC and still is. Like you I also pray that this be fully resolved and I am sure miss Veronica will act if needed.
I agree I'm sure it is not deliberate- the person did not want to sell them or even try to get you to visit a site where you could purchase something. I'm pretty sure the individual only thought of sharing the beautiful designs. Must say I also loved the designs on the gloria-pat website and also downloaded some of the freebies there. Maybe I will even give it a try. But first I need to finish a canvas I've started - a beautifull ballerina for my daughter's room.
ACK! I went to the gloria and pat pages and downloaded all the free charts for myself. Thanks for that link! I had not been there.

They are gorgeous aren't they. But must say currenlty I am having nightmares about the little bears on Betty's site. I can see them in my kids' bathrooms. It is a pity their is not enough time in a day. Byt creating allows us to dream.
I recognised a lot of the designs, I even have some of them in tubes in Paint Shop Pro. I think this may well be a language problem rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead, but they don't give the source of the artwork which is what they're supposed to do. I haven't downloaded any of them because they're too big for my hoop, but in any case I'm fussy about copyright and am pretty sure a lot of them infringe someone's copyright! Pity, because they're certainly lovely designs! Love

Thanks Dianne - I downloaded the owls and the Bluebells, Angel, Deer and Owls - I'll delete them immediately.
Thanks for the warning - I don't want to infringe someone's copyright. I also don't want to take something from someone who hasn't done the original work.
These designs are just too perfect not to thank the original designer. I can't get over how fantastic they are.
It's a pity as I do love her or his work.
Thanks again Dianne love and blessings Chris
