What is the story withthis Larchik? Is it OK or not. I see more & more designs on cuties & I don't want to DL them if there is a problem. If there is he should be bann from the site. Thanks Arlene

It seems there is a lartik not a larchik. lartik has been here since 2009 according to the personal page but if you do a search for lartik in the community search nothing comes up. I really don't know what to think.

well copy right violations are really quite a bit more than a witch hunt, per se'. taking illegal designs is a crime in itself. correct? isn't that what the red exclamation mark is for, to click it to report wrong doing? i am sure it has been clicked on, on this topic, but also the chinese site that begins with an x is giving out illegal loralie designs, and that link is posted here often enough, also. i hate to think that it depends on who you are or who you know, whether or not it matters.... it makes me wonder, tho.

It has not been proven there is a copyright/license infringement. Everything has been speculation thus far.

From what I have read from the numerous postings about this...
1. The designs were removed and now they are back.
2. Maybe the site owner Veronika found out that all is ok and reposted them? (I find it hard to believe she would delete designs and not ban the offender)
3. It is not possible that they have a virus.
4. The original artwork is in question (maybe larchik is the original person that created these designs?) It has not been proven if larchik is or is not.
5. Unless the person from the site that the link is posted files a complaint, why is everyone presuming the worst? Maybe larchik purchased the rights?
6. I am sure at least one member has contacted the gloria-pat site and given her detailed info about the posted designs and I would think this will be resolved shortly (I can only pray)

7. I am sorry but from ALL of the postings this seems to be an embroidery design witch hunt, it is a bit upsetting considering everyone here has so much love of community. If anyone had/has a concern why didn't they just contact gloria-pat and veronika and let it get settled between the 2 of them? 9 larchik posts in 4 pages is over kill.

I agree with #7! This witch hunt is not based on facts and if anyone needs to do something, that would be Veronika! These concerns have gotten nasty and out of hand by people here. But that attitude seems to be going around here for quite sometime now.

Ok, we now know where the designs originated and we just need to find out if this larchik has the rights to distribute her XXX designs. I am sure that Veronika will get to the bottom of this and questions will be answered. It does take time for emails to be answered and wrongs to be righted (if need be). The designs are really great and I would like to be able to use them but... if we have no right to them on a Freebie basis, then I do hope all will do the right thing. This is the second time all of this has happened so I feel safe to say that Veronika will take care of this. This is her pride and joy and she has worked hard in the past to keep a clean site. I would dearly love to stitch out the little owls. I think they are my favorite of all of the designs. I have them stored on a CD because I was afraid to download the designs onto my computer until I found out about the VIRUS thing. Yes, it will be hard to get rid of them if they are not legal but I sure would hate to lose all of equipment over a few designs...........Hugs, Linda
