Today was awe inspiring by a 16 year old girl who was visiting with my daughter. She leaves to go home tomorrow so I wanted to make her a backpack bag to take on the bus with her..she loves monkeys and fell in love with the applique monkey from Adorable Applique that I had bought..when we were stitching out the head and came to the stitch color on the tongue, I asked her what color she wanted it to be..red, pink? she said purple..well I gave her a look like she was nuts..well her reply was, he ate a grape popsicle and it turned his tongue purple..so from there I decided to put one of his paws holding a popsicle (emblibrary design applique) and added the droplets (pnw yahoo group)to complete the design..I thought it came out just tooooo cute..what do you think? the other design is the flip side of the bag..and the paperclips are actually 4 inch paperclips with a design from embroiderygarden..these will make great book marks..if you look close enough you will see the little fsl button from this site on the green flower.
