Hi "Bokkie",

You can do it in the 4D programme from Husqvarna. I remember back when I first bought my machine that the dealer did something like this in the EXPRESS DESIGN WIZARD.

Below is the direct instructions which is shown on the Express Design Wizard page.

You can "Create a standard embroidery from a picture, using satin and fill areas for colour areas in the picture. Outlines will be created using running stitch or satin."

Once you have done the design I assume you can then save it to whatever format you so desire.

Love and blessings Chris

P.S. I actually tried it but you need simple designs as some can be quite dense and won't let go through to the final step. Just remembered that!

Actually, it's not a "conversion" situation. The process of "converting" an image file (like a .jpg file) into a stitch file (like a .pes file) is called digitizing.
Most image files have pixels; however, stitch files have x/y coordinates for the needle to drop and create a stitch.
"Converting" an image file into a stitch file would be like "converting" an image file into a word processing file -- totally different systems. (But how would you ever learn if you didn't ask?)

Somewhere I did read something about converting pictures to embroidery files, but have no idea of where the link is hiding. Will look for it and send it if I find it. Believe that you must be able to digitize though.

You cannot, unless you can digitize. because Jpeg or Jpg is the image or picture.
but there's no stupid question, It's only stupid if you have the question and don't ask.
