access to thread as some of you do. I live in Canada and don't even know anyone who actually does machine embroidery, so all of you will probably become my best resource for any information I need.

Again, many thanks!

Psssst
Unfortunately Long Creek Mills doesn't ship to Canada.

Also most Pre Wound Bobbins have more thread on them than the bobbins that we wind ourselves.
So you change bobbins less often

The most economical is to buy bobbin thread by the cone and wind your own.

There are several other places on line that sell Bobbin thread by the cone and some ship to Canada.

As I mentioned Marathon Threads in Canada sell both the Bobbin thread on the cone in several colors and also the Pre Wound bobbins in white or black.

Most bobbin thread used for embroidery is 60 to 75 weight thread.

Also there are Pre wound Bobbins that come with bobbin thread already wound on them.
Pre wound Bobbins come in 2 different sizes.
Size L and Size Class15/A

The brand and type of machine you have determines which size of pre wound bobbins you can use in it.

You can purchase Bobbin thread on the cone or Pre wound Bobbins at Marathon Threads in Canada.
Here is the link to their website.
http://www.marathonthreadscanada....

They sell embroidery thread, Bobbin thread and pre wound bobbins, stabilizers and other items for embroidery.

You can email them for a price list of the products that they carry. The email address is on their website.
They are a good company to deal with in Canada.

I can wind my own bobbins in a matter of a couple of minutes.
Pre-wound bobbins are an insult to the consumers pocket book
UNLESS you have no respect for money in todays economy.

I can guarantee you if you have a question, a bunch of other Cuties have the same question and just haven't asked yet. I learn so much from other Cuties' questions---

The absolute best price I have found for bulk bobbin thread is at long creek mills. I do not know what shipping would be but the 5000m is only $5 and it is heirloom quality 120wt. I bought 3 spools the last time because the shipping was the same for 1 or for 3. I believe they even adjusted the shipping and gave my account a $3 refund because they only charge actual shipping.

Keep asking questions. I promise we will be here to answer the questions. Try the internet for thread. I order my embroidery thread through the internet and have not had a problem with the products or delivery.
