These are lovely Tissue Holders. I had bought a pattern to do some also. I am so glad to hear about the commments about the tissue's because I did not think about that. Great idea to just make a slit on the top of the package.
The packs of tissues I bought were too thick to fit into the tissue holders I made so I took them out of the plastic and just put them straight into the holder it workd fine. You have a beautiful selection
What lovely tissue holders, some lovely colours and hope that you find your tissues..good luck ****4u
Very pretty! After searching for packs with the top opening, I solved my problem by removing the plastic and placing the whole set of tissues inside. It may not be quite as clean looking, but my friends and family don't care.
Best of luck, and again, they are beautiful!
Very nice. I have been making them for years on the sewing machine without embroidery. I had to use lace and trims to decorate them. Now I have the embroidery machine and will be able to do them in the hoop. They used to sell the tissues that opened across the flat side, but now they are difficult to find. My friends have always loved even the plain ones, so these will be EXTRA special to your receivers.
Such lovely tissue holders you've stitched. Thanks for sharing your project&the design tip too. God's blessings as look for what you need. :~D
They are just wonderful. Your colors are great.
Thank you for the compliment. I actually managed to use up several almost empty spools. * for you.
Very pretty. I think I might just have to try to make some of these.
I can highly recommend them. Easy instructions and so fun to stitch. * for you.
Beautiful; I hope I find the pattern. One I tried a while back was very rugged looking.
The pattern was from Embroidery Library and they have lots to choose from. I find their work is always good. I have tried ones that satin stitch the edges but they are not as finished as these are8 for you
Grace, these are lovely - I see that everyone has made a suggestion of what to do - hope it all works out for you and all the ladies that you will be stitching them for. Have fun. You might also share this picture with Emblibrary - they might select it for their projects and we can say we knew you when. Hehehe! Great job.
I might just do that. I'm not very good at showing off my work but I do think they look lovely. Thanks for all your support, you have been very helpful with past questions. * for you with my love.
I can see why you loved them - beautiful.
Yes, I fell in love with the design. They took a while to stitch but worth it. * for you.
Very nice. I am trying some of them from designsbysick.com and they are nice too. I take the tissues out of the package and put them in the holder so I can buy whatever is cheap.
Seems as though everybody has the same idea so I'll go with it too. I liked these as they turned inside out, do the ones from DBS stitch like that? * for you.
Yes, you sew the "top" first then put the bottom on top of that to sew the outside then you turn them inside out so the pretty part is back on the outside.
Well done, just take the tissue out of the plastic, I prefer them out.*4u hugs Yvonne
Due you mean they open from the end the tissue. These look like they open from the top. What you due with the end opening tissue is they go in and then cut an opening. That's what I due and by the way they look great.
Yes, they open at one of the short ends. I'm going to try slitting the pack or taking the tissues out as jazz suggested. Thank you for the compliment.
Very pretty, I had the same problem with top opening ones and took off the wrapper and put the paper tissues only in and it worked ok.
Lovely design. Too bad you can only get top-opening packs (same as where we live). Hope you can find some after all.
I guess they must be available somewhere as Embroidery Library sell loads of diferent pattern designs. I'll just keep looking.
That is a nice collection you made, now to find the tissues :0) Good luck
Thank you. Before the problem with the tissues I had been asked to make 60 for a women's group to give as Christmas presents but not sure now.
I tried to give you a flower but I'm afraid it didn't work. Sorry.
