BuzzTools. I would be lost without it. It keeps all my designs organized and I can convert any file to JEF. It's what I learned to use when I got my first Janome emb machine. Regardless, you should have some type of emb program to help. The free ones, truesizer and wilcom are really good programs. Good luck! Carol
I was in the same boat. I d/l Embird first but after the trial you can't use anymore. So I us Pulse Ambassador, it will show the pictures for me, which is less memory for my folders, plus it will convert from one file to another, which has come in handy. About once a month it will ask if I want to buy and I just click register later. I will eventually purchase cause you can also chose fonts on there. But I'm not in the designing level yet. Just new at it and LOVIN IT!
Thank you, everyone. I guess I am not the only one who has struggled with this. I have just decided not to deal with designers who do not allow copies. It is just too stressful.
I keep a copy of the design in my folders - some digitizers do no allow you to do this, but if you right click the design, and copy, you can paste to your folder. This keeps at a PDF then. I hope that you can understand what I was saying. I am not the smartest one for computers - the only one in my family that does not have a computer related job. LOL
mine comes up as jpg..your right if the digitizer will allow you to save it......BE SURE TO NAME YOUR PICTURE AND YOUR FORMAT THE SAME....they are not always listed as such and its hard to figure what is what if you do not.....that way you can put the two together....loves deanna
I see you have some answers already. As a Babylock owner, I use Studio Plus to organize my designs and to do some very simple cleaning up on the designs. I am glad that you asked, because you do need to be able to see your designs.
You can download 'Wilcom' free software ~~ after the trial period it will still work (you just have to close the prompt box before downloading your design)

You could also buy BuzzTools. Not cheap, but you can look at what is in a zip file without opening the file.
Here are two links for free downloads for embroidery programms.
There are free programs you could download. This being one of them. There is also Truesizer. Maybe someone else will have a link. Good luck
