I also have a Babylock serger. No tensions to worry about and easy threading. Worth the higher price. Plus they are workhorses.
I have the Babylock Imagine, love it, and I do not have to ajust all the time. H&*
Are you changing the type of thread you are using? Or are you using one that is making a lot of lint? If lint gets into the tension disks, it can play havoc with your tensions. Try setting all your tensions to 0 and then folding a soft cloth so that there are no raw edges,or loose threads and running it through your tensions, then re thread your machine, and set your tensions.
Monica, I know that Baby Lock sergers tend to run on the higher end economically, but in all honesty, they're worth every penny! NO adjustment is needed and thredding doesn't require a master's degree in mechanical engineering. Since BL released newer versions, you can probably pick up a refurbished Imagine for a lot less than I paid new.
Good luck. :-) teri
I have 2 different sergers and they both need adjusting for every fabric. One more than the other. I was chatting with my dry cleaner about her serger and she said she never adjusts it LOL.
SM, I use to have 2 sergers too but I didn't have room for both ;< However; my old FAITHFUL never gave me a problem but I sold her ;< FIESTA ANYHOW ;D *2U
I have a hobbylock 776 and I don't have to ajust it but I just had my serivce and my dealer sit the tenions for me . maybe you need to have it serivces.
