I probably would have worn them BC (Before Children)Or BH (Before Husband) now thirty two years later not my style. LOL looking for those support socks now. ha ha ha
Cindy B.
Funny; where do you have to live to get cold calves and not cold feet?
OK Cuties..check these ugly things out!!
well quite frankly they aren't as bad as some of the things I have seen running around downtown Portland....I bet these will catch on...especially the girls that like to wear those school girl pleated skirts clear up their ying yang...they alreadfy wear knee socks with them so there isn't really any difference except the flip flops are attatched to them...
it is really interesting to go downtown and look at all those DIFFERENT people running everywhere....THEY ARE NOT NORMAL....
I try so very hard to stay out of there because of it...
You are so funny - I don't get into town much and ours isn't big like Portland - so I can only imagine.
The only thongs I wear are on my butt! LOL!!!
hugs n roses, Meg
LOL I can't imagine myself ever wearing those! I just hope that if I do see someone wearing them I do not burst out in laughter!
Oh my goodness Shirlene I agree. I wonder how fit we will get, by having to go down to pull the sock up all the time. I will be so scared that it will roll down, and with my luck, I will land on my backside, or worse. LOL.
Hugs and God bless
Marietta
Marietta, in the video - it did show them scrunched down - so you would be in style then. Hehehe!
They are a little bit out of the ordinary. As my GS would say "there's something grong with those glip glops!"
Daisy, that is so cute - you tell your GS - that is right - there is something grong with those glip glops - Hehehe!
Hihi shirlener, yes I think the youngsters will go for it. I am with Gerry and the laughing lady lol. What next
Edith, it seems so weird - but I sure don't get it - but then - neither did my GM with I wore rather high wedged heeled -strapped Jesus Sneakers - Hehehe!
Shirlene I am fascinated by this and showed it to my 12 year old daughter - her reply: it looks kind of funky in fact it is awesome. ~The 13 year old said it is so cute but mom won't allow her to wear it or would she. Well I only laughed and did not answer. I still want to test my husbands reaction - he is a no go when it comes to fashion appealing to teenagers. Words to describe him would be prim and proper.
Eleen, good luck for your 13 year old - if she really thinks it is awesome.
Well this is interesting if nothing else. Hey what did we wear when young that we wore in the name of fashion. These look like a great way of recycling a jumper buy cutting the sleeves off, bit of embroidery here and there and all of you have a present for your grandchildren...
Shirlene, that is too funny, living in the south, I would be burning up! LOL.
Oh my goodness - for once I will know before my 2 teenager daughters come with the request. Surely it would be one that their dad would definitely not approve off.
Good luck dear. Glad to have brought you up to speed on this - before the teens did.
Pardon the expression, but those are butt ugly....Who in their right mind would wear something like that? Oh wait, I probably have a granddaughter who will think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. BTW I didn't have white bucks I had light tan one. Mom said white got too dirty. But I did wear saddle shoes when they were in style, and a few other styles like brogans and such... But I will pass on these. Just looking at them makes me perspire... hehehe...
I bet she will. My kids are going to love it. When the toe socks came out they each had to have it. Luckily it was covered by the shoes and their dad never really got to see them. It just looked extremely uncomfortable but they would never admit it. Anything to be in.
Terre, you are funny - Hehehe!
Eleen, I agree - they would be uncomfortable.
Oh, I know a crazy GD that might like those, but not me. If she is not wearing lip flops, it is soccer cleats. What will they come up with next? How many of you remember the White Buc's - I just had to have a pair of those, but he Nebraska winters played havoc with them.
What are White Buc's? Are they like saddle shoes?
These silly shoes just look like shoes that can't make up their mind if they are for cool or warm weather. I bet they would sell in San Francisco where it's never really warm, and never really cold either.
Oh darn. I already went into town today. Guess I have to wait until tomorrow to get the ugliest foot fashion ever. Oh wait. I am not going into town tomorrow or ever if I have to buy those ugly things. But then we had our own ugly fashions as I recall. What were we thinking?
Every kid will want them this summer. Not me.
I love my sandals that have the straps between the toes!! BUT.. I have to wear compression stockings for the rest of my life to keep my legs from swelling and bursting back open again. Actually these would not be so bad compared to what my legs look like since the awful surgery! I have awful scars and they are dark everywhere the scar tissue is. I will never be able to wear a dress again but to me that is not a bad thing either! I can say one thing though, I would rather have legs that I can use no matter how bad they look than to have lost them like the second set of Dr's thought I was going to do. These crazy so called sock/ stockings look better than my legs and I could really have some fun with them at my ripe old age. Everyone would think for sure that I had gone off the deep-end and next thing I would know, My really crazy son would have me put away just to get rid of me! Out of sight, out of mind. I really do have a wrapped sence of humor so if I ever really saw some of these, you might get a good laugh off of me.
perhaps it's a new hot-item, but not for me thanks :)0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
OMGosh... how ridiculous! LOL. What will they come up with next? teri
