Thank you for the question, I have not downloaded any cross stitch designs cause I didn't think I would like them but now I am going in search of some to download so I can give it a try!

I love cross stitch with my embroidery machine. It really works beautifully.

it is just the same the machine does it for you. so much easier than by hand, no counting or something. just go and embroider!it's fun. but when you change color make sure the thread of jupovers are cut away. they show if you don't remove them.

Its just like embroidery. I did one and the only thing I had to watch out for was jumpstitches. I missed one and it showed through the design since it is not dense.

Joann, cross stitching with machine embroidery is a piece of cake - just download a design and go for you - you will not believe how fast and easy it stitches - it is fun to watch too. The ones that digitize it must know alot about doing it - to not have to cross back into the design again - unless it is to cross over - Hehehe!

Personally I think that machine embroidery XS is sooooooooo easy only after RW. AND it is so fascinating to watch stitch out.
Hand XS? whole other animal

I should like to understand what you think it is interessing, can you explain to me your abreviations and "whole animal"???

It is interesting for me to watch the design stitch out almost like seeing a painting being painted. "whole other animal" means you can not compare the two. Hand cross stitch is so beautiful, but it is so much work, it is hard for hands and eyes. Machine xstitch is easy.

I did hand cross stitch years ago until my old eyes couldn't focus on those tiny squares. LOL I've enjoyed reading this thread and feel encouraged to try some of the ME designs I've collected.

thank you psssst for your explanations. I am now too old to do handcross stitch., it is too difficult for my eyes and above all it take too much time to do just only one work.
