Joann, it depends on the designer and the design. But usually they have instructions included with the design.

1. You will have a stitching line - that you place your material or tulle on top of - then you stitch - take the hoop out and cut around the material or tulle - then place the hoop back into the machine and finish stitching.

2. You may be doing several layers - of the design seperately - then you finish up - but putting them all together in a stack and stitching a final stitch to sew them together.

So you see - it depends on the design. Have you purchase one - that you want to know how to create? Give us a name or the designer - perhaps we can assist you better - knowing that.
