Shirlener, I was so disappointed at the time that my machine was down, and unable to contribute to this beautiful work of art for your mum, I am so glad that she got to see some of the blocks, and I am delighted that it has now come to you. It is a testament to the people of this site, and the love they give to those we "knew"by message only, almost strangers really, but a family in spirit. Enjoy this lovely quilt everyday, in the spirit it was intended, to give love and happiness. Cheers Ruth
Ruth, thank you so much - this is exactly what you said 'a testament to the people of this site and the love they give' me and my family will treasure this for a lifetime.

sigrun, thank you dear - it has so much love in it - you can feel it - can't wait for my family to come home and see it.
I am so glad you received this dear friend, for the love we all felt for Miss Loretta is the same love we all feel for you.
I can tell you now, that the very centre block was kept hidden from all but Deanna and me, as we wanted that to be an added special surprise for you, knowing how much you loved that photo of your beautiful Mum.
I hope it made you cry tears of remembrance and joy and also laughter at how your Mum always had a funny or witty comment for everyone here at Cute.
She is loved and thought of often, by all Cuties who were blessed by her presence here and we all miss her.
It is only right and fitting that you, her daughter should receive this gift of unconditional love from those who loved her and love you.
Now I need to go get more tissues as this gift project for your Mum & You has special meaning for me and I'm sure, many other Cuties.
Hugs n roses and unconditional love, Meg
Meg, by dear - what a lovely thing you and Deanna did - when you asked for that design - I was so out of it with worry over Rick - I just knew you wanted it - so I shared it - as it was my design to do so - but I was thrilled and it did bring tears of joy and laughter and LOVE into my heart for each of the CUTE family for all that they shared with my Mother - she adored the CUTE site and every time she came - she had twinkling eyes for hours. She was blessed from the day she joined, by the love she felt here and she did love the CUTE family - she talked about all of you - and the nurses and everyone would also ask about you all - they understood, too. I will take this up to share it with them - so they can see it, too. I adore the unconditonal love that was share by all for her. We both have been blessed by all of you. Now, I can't see to type more, but thank you so very much for caring enough about her all this time.

Shirlene, it looks great! I'm so glad you received it. I bet you look into your bedroom now and again just to make sure it's not a dream. Deanna did a wonderfukl job, and I love the borders!
Martine, thank you so very much - Deanna did a wonderful job and I wished she would post here, too - it was her organization and quilting that made it happen. The borders brought made my eyes leak. I do look into my bedroom and feel the love and know it is not a dream.
Shirlene, we are so glad that you are excited.
We also know that your Mother (Miss Loretta) would of loved this gift.

Yvonne, thank you - I am, too. Yes, she would have been thrilled with it to say the least - I only wished we could have gotten a picture of her looking at it or wrapped up in in. Oh my!
A Treasure For a Deserving recipient Made with love and given with love what more could one ask Well done everyone Hugs Shazells
Shazells, thank you so very much - couldn't have said it better, myself. *4U
Oh it's beautiful, no words really to describe it. Job well done.
Oh my goodness - what a beautiful job. I know that Miss Loretta would have loved it, and we are so glad that it is now a part of your home. All I can say, is beautiful.
Oh Beth, thank you - I know she would have, too. I am thrilled that it will be a family treasured heirloom, too. I wished you could see it in person.
You are so worth it. I am so happy that you like it but I knew you would. Just know it was done with lots of love for your dear mum and you will have something to show your family from your cute family Thank you Deanna for all your orginization and work
Love and hugs
Raelene
Yes, you know Raelene while everyone was sending in their squares - I knew it was for my Mother (Miss Loretta) I was excited and could feel the LOVE then. She would ask me what I knew about any projects that the CUTE family might be doing - as she was so impressed with the quilt made for Miss Veronika. I would tell her there was one in the works and show her pictures - she wasn't coming to the site much then - she thought is was so special - I think she knew it was for her - but I wouldn't say - I wanted it to be a surprise - but she has more than likely been sitting with Deanna - while she stitched away - just watching over her shoulder or directing her to do what next - maybe she knew then - it was her's. But I felt her today - before we got home - before I found the package - so can you imagine my surprise when I opened it up and say this lovely quilt? Thank you all and yes, thank you Deanna for the great organization and the extra hard work making it all come together.
Yvonne, I am so sorry - but I know they are tears of joy and happiness.
Martine, yes she loved when I would bring an update - it thrilled her to think about the work on the quilt - she felt the love going into it.
I'm glad your mom saw the pictures and i think like you she knew deep inside it was made specially for her. She knew we loved her.she will be happy to see you cherish this memory quilt.she watches over you.
I am soooooo happy for you Shirlene!!! I couldn't think of a sweeter person to have this quilt! I hope you wrap yourself in the love intended when everyone sent in a block!!! Hugs, Judy
OH Judy, I was doing OK - without leaking eyes - for a minute here - now you have them gushing again. Thank you so very much. I love it and love all of you for doing it for my Mother and I am thrilled to have it to cherish her memory, too. THANKS!
Excited! I am so happy for you Shirlene, now I know why Deanna was not posting a piccy. She was waiting for you to do it. May I say I can only imagine the love you feel from that quilt. It is truely stunning and definiately an heirloom piece. Miss Loretta will want to see it in our New Paradise so take good care of it till we see her again.
I am sure this would have cheered Rick up also. Do you have other siblings to show it to? Your Mum was sooooo Loved. I am glad you now have it to remember her even more and all of us to of course.
Have a wonderful weekend. My grand girls are with me so I am happy also...Love Kerry
Oh my goodness, Kerry - were you able to meet up with Terri (twee) - I hope so. YES, Deanna was going to do some posting of the final pictures - then she decided to surprise me with the quilt - so that I would have leaking eyes for the whole day - I guess. And I do feel the LOVE through this quilt. Rick wanted to wrap it around him 1st thing - he was almost as thrilled as I was - I should have taken a picture of him looking at it - but I was looking too, at the time and didn't have my camera - then I placed it on the bed and started taking pictures of all the squares. I do have two brothers and a 1 sister, still living. More than likely I will have to take it for a visit, to them - for them to see it. Hehehe! But my daughter and son and their families will enjoy it first hand. I al so thrilled for you to have your grand girls with you to love and cherish - have fun with them.
Whoo Hooo to you, now isn't that a dandy!! Deanna did such a wonderful job. An heirloom for sure. Congratulations Shirlene, this way we will come & go but you will remember ea. of us by our square. BTW I have made a turn & am right now in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Be here a couple of days then going on to Branson, Mo. Not able to hook up with anyone in La. or Texas.
Oh Lil, it is an heirloom for sure. Thank you so very much - I am still so excited - I can't hardly stop looking at it. You are making it across the country - pretty good - have you tried to contact Teri (simplyrosie) she lives in Texas now. What is your destination?
This looks awesome on your bed. Blessings
Cindy B.
Cindy, thank you so very much - I was just going to stand in front of the camera and have Rick take a picture of me - but I truly believed that everyone needed to see this quilt on a bed - so that is where it went first thing - Hehehe! It did take a long while to take pictures of all the great features in it - but so worth it - now I can send it around to different family members that don't live close and they can see the love that was put into if for my Mother, too. Hehehe!
I didn't join soon enough to get to know Miss Loretta like most of you did but I did contribute to the computer by buying a design that someone had digitized for the event.
I bet she is sitting smiling now looking down on that quilt and taking in it's awesome beauty. What a tribute to a special lady. I only hope my life has as much meaning someday to have so many think half as highly of me. (does that make sence???)I have a quilt from my mother that is cross stitched and I will never let it out of my sight so I'm sure your quilt means the same for you Shirlene. God bless one and all who put it together.
OH my dear - thank you so much - you would have loved Loretta's humor. I am so thankful to all that stitched a block and especially to Deanna for organizing the whole project and doing the work. These pictures are pretty - but they don't do justice to the quilt. Thanks!
Shirlene, this is so beautiful and well done to all the cuties that helped make this into a wonderful memory for you so well deserved. Wish I had been on the site when it was all happening! Hugs Sally
Sally, it is so very beautiful and such a testimony to the love for Miss Loretta. I wished you had been her, too - but you will be - for the next project - who knows where that might be going!
Oh I do hope the whole CUTE family sees this and feels the LOVE that was put into this quilt - isn't it lovely?
because you kow how we all felt about your mom, this quilt is at the right place !only you can feel this love that was meant by this quilt, and was so beautiful finished by Deanna. Love G.
Shirlene, the quilt is beautiful. It was a pleasure to take part in it, so glad that your Mom had seen some of the blocks. Deanna you did a fantastic job in completing this beautiful quilt , for Shirlene and her family to treasure and remind them of how much Loretta meant to us all. hugs Yvonne
and here are the borders:
Shirlene, that is a gorgeous gift for you to treasure. Deanna, you did a beautiful job of putting it togather. Sorry I never got to send a square for it. I hope you can sense my love for you and your dear Mother. Hugs Lynn
Lynn, thank you - we will treasure it. Perhaps you will get to work on the next project, if there is one. I do, too! *4U
1sewnsew & gerryvb, thank you so much - yes, the borders are big and Deanna did a spectular job with it.
and again and again and again more......this is the top row of the quilt:
Joann, thank you so very much - the whole CUTE family did a great and fantastic job.
Yes, it must have. I am not sure - when Deanna got the 1st block and when she finished it - perhaps she will give us some more details.
It was January the idea for Project 2 came in and about the middle/end of March when the last block floated in....finished and sent ...about 6 monthes total...
This is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen. You guys are awesome and camylow is a genius for putting it all together. WOW
Angie, that is so true - it is every better in person - you just wouldn't believe how lovely it is - Deanna did a wonderful job - the back side is all red and comfy and the quilting is WONDERFUL, too.
Wow..it is so beautiful. So much love from so many. So glad for you.
Thank you Rita - this was such a wonderful gift from the CUTE family from all over the world.
Absolutely beautiful shirlener. so glad for you
Enjoy, hugs Edith
Shirlene so glad you love our quilt . Its all thanks to deanne, . Ms Loretta will never leave you she will wrap you up in her folds and comfort you when you are down, and hug you when you are happy. Enjoy :)
OH now Pauline - I my leaking eyes had stopped - now they are running down my face - thank you so very much - I do feel the LOVE!
WOW!! So much beauty and so much love all rolled into one! You are a very lucky lady to have so many loving friends! Best wishes to you and the family!
Oh my goodness - this was for Miss Loretta and she passed before they could give it to her - being her daughter - they just passed it along - I am so grateful for the LOVE that everyone had for HER. Thanks!
and again more and more....
Gee it seems so long ago that I did that square...BUT it represents YOU and your MOM and ALL the LOVE that you deserve!!!
Oh Barb it does seem like a long while, but it wasn't that long ago - thank you so much - my Mother adored the CUTE family.
This is truely a great tribute to your Mom! Deanna did a wonderful job putting the finishing touches "of love" on it and putting it together. Of course, it is a bittersweet gift but taking into mind all the love that went into it, and it's original destination, I hope you will enjoy it for many years to come.
I too, hope that you and Rick are doing much better. I did read where you posted that they think with theraphy that Rick control will be regained. He was a very sick young man and he has come so far since it first happened. I firmly believe in the power of prayer and you had/have alot of friends praying for the both of you. I hope that your Mom is looking down on you right now and can feel the love that we all had for her also. She will be dearly missed for many years to come when most all of us are too old to even get up and make it to the computer. It was made in love for a wonderful person and I so glad that is was everyone's choice to give it to you in Miss Loretta's place. As long as we are still here, she will be remembered with loving thoughts! hugs, blessings, and prayers to you and Rick!
Linda, thank you so very much - now I am really crying - but I feel lots of love and I am thrilled to receive this quilt in memory of my Mother (Miss Loretta). Thanks!
Hi Shirlene,
I'm not sure that I understood all this - how works all this together??
And how many hours to put all the designs on one big piece! I would like to be so gifted.
But anyhow - it's the most beautiful quilt I ever saw. And this harmony of colours! You should put your bed in the livingroom to show off everybody!
Who ever did all this work - the result is amazing - I never saw this effort even for a marriage!
Shirlene - keep it as the love of God who touched and moved the hearts of so busy cuties!
I enjoy with you. A treasure you have now. It may warm up your heart if you need it most, it speaks the language of love in each square.
God bless you
Baerbel
Baerbel, isn't it a true testimony of the LOVE that we all share in the CUTE family - it was meant for my Mother (Miss Loretta) however she passed before it was completed - now it is a memory quilt for me and my family and it will be treasured.
Yes, you are right!!!!!!!
It's a very deep testimony - and I feel very much touched.
We have too less testimonies like this in our surroundings - isn't it?
I think this is one of the reasons so many appreciate the designs by cuties - not only the free designs but also the open contact.
You are a person allows others to look into your life - so you will earn comfort and love.
And this all in a world of "privacy". I do not know your mother, but it seams she did a great job - for the community as well as in her own family!
And do you know what?
We all need a big portion of love.
Have a very blessed weekend and my prayers are still with you for Ricks healing and peace about the situation itself.
Baerbel
and again more......
1sewnsew, that is a photo that I put into my program and created a photo stitch - Meg asked to have the design and I gave it to her, she was the one that stitched it out and sent it to Deanna to piece it into the quilt.
And I thought for sure you would guess what I was up to. hehehehehe!
I knew I was doing the right thing when you told me you had given yours to your daughter because she asked you for it.
That's just like you to give something you love yourself to a loved one, just because they asked for it. I couldn't see you not having another copy of it for yourself as I know how much it meant to you.
I didn't embroider a copy for myself, but I do carry a photo of this one around with me in my mobile phone, so you see, I wasn't fibbing, I did want it for me too. :-)
hugs n love, Meg
Hey Shirl it is beautiful, so glad you are having a happy day you have not had too many of those lately...hang in there kiddo better days ahead and nice to see that quilt spread out for Mom to look down on ... big hugs and much love x0x0x0x0
Well, until you said that - I was really happy - now I have leaking eyes - but I do feel her looking down and seeing all the LOVE that each of you had for her. Thank you!
And more......
Shirlene, thanks so much for the lovely pictures of the quilt. They all look wonderful. Hugs Yvonne
Thank you - each of the ladies that particpated were able to pick from their design selection from the theme: roses, hearts, and angels.
Here are some more......
Thanks Gerry, I feel honoured to be able to contribute the label and the centre block for this very special Quilt. I wish Miss Loretta could have seen it all finished, but I am sure she is looking down on it.
Hugs n roses, Meganne
Yes, Meg dear - I am sure she sees it and is looking down on it - at all times. She loved the CUTE family very much, she talked so much about you all that - some of the residents would ask how everyone was - Hehehe!
