My daughter started talking about wanting to raise chickens. I gave her the next best thing. One that doesn't loose feathers!

Jo, this is a great idea - no loose feathers.

One time - when I was visiting my Mother (Miss Loretta) - I saw a feather on her sock - I bent down and picked it up. I ask her where she got that feather from. She smiled and told me it was from her Grandma's farm. Well, my Great Grand Parents have been gone for almost 40 years - so I then asked her - when she had been out to the farm? She laughed and said, not for 40 years. So I asked her how she got this feather on her sock from her Grandma's farm. She finally told me that it must have come out of one of the quilts or pillow's that my Grandmother had made from the feathers of her chicken's and geese on the farm. It was so funny, we laughed about that for days. Hehehe!

Love your story Shrilene. I was raised on a farm till I was about 8 yrs old. So I know about feather pillows. My Dad made us mattresses out of straw when I was very little. Will never forget about sleeping on that. Mildred
