Check the membership cost. I believe that the 1st membership is a few $ more than succeeding memberships. But I try to take advantage of the special deals that Miss Veronika gives us to keep my membership up to date.

Ususally renew ahead of time when the site has a special. It just adds to what your existing account. As of now I'm about a year ahead. It isn't a huge saving but every bit helps these days.

The discount was when a special ran around mother's day and there was one in September last year at the site's 'birthday'. Mine runs out at the end of the month so I'm just hoping...
