I've taken a shopping bag and added embroidery to it - going to use it as a gift wrapping bag for a present for my friend's 50th birthday. Ps the corners at the bottom folded away so if it looks a bit funny it is only the picture taken.

Carolyn I have once dl one of those golden gals as freebie there (the one in the niddle of the first row). Now you just reach the freebie-section when you register. Give it a try ;o)

Thanks tippy, I kind of got the idea to make the kids teachers at school something similar as a Christmas gift. Like a carrybag for books. Perhaps use an appropriate design on it - like the shopping sassy for the teacher known to be a shopaholic and so forth.

Thank you and it actually worked out less than a paper gift bag would have cost me. Don't know about you but being a baby boomer which learned from her mother I am a re user. Problem is just that the paper gift bag does not look so fresh the second time around and then I always think wouldn't the recipient realise it has been used before.

It is always nice to stitch something out and you feel good about it and you know it was a good spend.

Their is quite a number of the bigger sized ladies designs on the site. Just a pity in art they can be made to look very sophisticated but in real life it is another story. Howcome I never feel fat and attractive but only fat.

thanks Shirlene. The gift is one of these wooden modern hearts painted stained white and with the words Love carved on it. It hangs from a rope with beads and she can hang it against a door. It is quite big so fit nicely into the bag and yes also homemade cookies - something to eat is always appropriate.
