I have the Husqvarna 3D Professional Embroidery program that gives huge scope for working with fonts.
I can't see any real reason to upgrade to 4D, or 5D due out in a couple of months' time.
There are alternatives which will give you just as much enjoyment and satisfaction as the expensive programs.
I wouldn't mind trying out the Stitch Era Universal mentioned by marcelo1.
AlmaG.
Lori, the software Stitch Era Universal (which is 100% free) includes a lettering system with some pre-digitized fonts, as well as compatibility with true type fonts (literally tens of thousands of fonts can be used). Try it and then let us know your results.
Lori I use buzz tools it works great for me and some times I use what is on the machine.
I have never used any thing except buzz tools so I would not know about any other.
Thank you all for your answers. I can't afford the 3d or 4d professional but will look into EM2
I have 3D Professional that, like most software packages, has a lot of inbuilt fonts which gives me endless variety.
And I have Embird too, but not the predigitised fonts, I use their FontEngine.
I have Husqvarne, have 3D Professional, but now is 4D, you can do everything with that, but is expensive.
Know lots have Embird and you can buy seperate sections as and what you need and not too expensive. Worth a look at.
I do not have any font softwear. I use what is on my embroidery machine. H&*
Embroidery Magic2 is my favorite. Use it daily as I do lots of baby and children's items. I import a design and add wording or a name via EM2. Got it from Aunty M who has a Yahoo group and she answers all your questions, etc. EM2 is also a digitizing program but I only use it for the lettering as it does everything I want so far as lettering. I like to start with a capital letter (I use a lot of the ones from Cute) and then add the lower letters for the rest of the name. It's EZ to use, has lots of fonts available, any size, can do curves, etc. and is very reasonable priced for all it does. Joyce
