You can probably Google instructions for drying it out. That's what my son did when he got his phone wet.
Just let it dry out. I spilled coke on mine one time, husband was upset, but once it dried out, I had to pic the keypads and clean everything off. LOL. Lesson learned. hehehe. That was a pain in the patootee
Try putting it close to a fan to dry should help it dry faster. If you can pop the keys off that might help too. Most keys are of a snap on type but be careful not to break the snap on holder. I use a piece of "Press-N-Seal" over my key board. Keeps the keys from being so slick and also protects the keyboard from dust and unwanted spills.
Give it time to dry out. I would suggest you try not to use it for a few days (hard!)
It will take a while to dry but should come right.
Steamed mine (stripping wallpaper with steamer) it took a while. Had given up when it sprang into life...two years ago now and still going.
My husband spilled some pop on his and didn't tell me, just tried to dry it with a paper towel and waited. It still worked but a couple keys were sticky. But yours was just water so let it dry thoroughly (like 24 hrs) and you will probably be lucky enough to be ok.
I read somewhere a while ago about that and if I remember correctly they took the keyboard apart and dried it out and it worked fine but it did have to be left to air dry properly.
Good luck!
Gee, I don't know for sure - hopefully as Carolyn has said - it will dry out and work - you just have to be so careful with those laptops.
I usually am. I wasn't close to it when I stumbled holding a glass of water. Evidently I was close enough though.
Thanks
Hopefully it will dry out and start working.
I am fortunate enough to have gotten one with an on screen keyboard but it's like typing with one finger. I think I can use a regular keyboard with it but not good if traveling.
