July 2010 -- This is just a little thing for my newest grand child, a first toy, it's soft and chewy but at the same time will tickel his father who owns 'his' first Mustang. Can someone tell me why a majority of the play toys have these ribbons attached to the edges?? All I can think is that they will tickel the tot's noses he he

The loops are to attached them to strollers and car seats so they don't fall out all the time. How many toys do you think parents and kids lose because the kids dropped it in the mall? LOL

My GS would reach for a certain ribbon to feel on his little taggie blanket. It's good to use several different kind of ribbons on an item. You did a great job on those, they are really cute.

Cute!! The ribbons are there to grasp (and suck on - at least my GD did).

How cute!!! I read babies like the feel of the ribbons. That is why different textures are used on some tag toys. Also saw to use one of those clips through the loop to attach to carseat or stroller so toy doesn't "get lost".
