Debra, I see you have your answer to both parts of your quesiton - but for me - I use the same embroidery thread in the bobbin and the top thread - with every FSL design I stitch. When you first save your file - it allows you to decide the location - most likely when you first started - you chose to put your files to you PED-Basic - maybe that is where someone told you to do it or it just happened - but at one point - it started that way - you can change where your files go - at any time - when you DL - you have a place that comes up - with a file name - if you decide that you want to put it to a USB stick - you can change it - to go there - rather than your PED-Basic program - it is all - in where you tell the PC to transfer the file - you should always have the option to download it to where you want - so experiment - download it twice or three times - to different locations - so that you see - that you do and can do it. You can always go back and delete the files later - if you don't want more than one copy of it. If you need help - just ask.

Better yet, for a small amount of money - you can become a member of CUTE and download all the files and never have to worry about missing a day. It doesn't cause you any stress or worry. Hehehe!

Thanks for the good tips, I will try downloading other ways. Need to get a USB stick first. Second problem is my netbook is a pain, way too slow and then to top it off I hadn't noticed how large the seahorse alpha was, I can only used 4 by 4. Live and learn I guess, lol.

2nd question: I also believe the USB memory stick is the way go go. When you save a design you always choose where to store/save it. On my computer there is an icon "my computer" (or just computer) that when clicked it list all the posible things on you computer. If you have the storage stick plugged in it will be listed. Select it as the destination for the design and click save. Experiment now before you leave. You can move files one one place to another or copy them and have a design stored in more than one place.

PART 1
I would use the same thread in the bobbin to make the doily reversable.

PART 2
Take a USB storage pod with you. Save the designs to that. When you get back, transfer the designs!

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I'll use regular thread for both I guess. As for the usb, still not sure how to d/l anyplace other than directly into the ped-basic. Maybe the letters will still be going through catch up when I get back.

Shirlene might be able to help you with this answer. I know nothing yet about FSL. hehehe. I'll attempt it one day soon. :) As far as the d/l question. Can you use the memory stick on your netbook? Save them on the stick and when you get home d/l them into your computer/ped-basic.
