Such a pity the metallic thread and crystals don't show up well in photographs.

Shirlene, this magnolia came from sadiasews.com (freebie). She has a beautiful website if you have not been there, although I'm sure you have! She has beautiful lace designs! (If I were to sew it again on such thin material, I would enlarge it slightly to help with the puckering. It is stitch intensive. It was really fun to watch it stitch out. I can always tell a true artist!)

34246Here's my block for the Bird Quilt. I've wanted to stitch this out for some time, and this was the perfect opportunity. I still don't have a way to make my lettering smaller, but I'm going to work on that.

Elizabeth, you will enjoy working on this quilt - you will get excited to see - the squares come in and then - watch as it is constructed - then when the persons receiving them - share when they have arrived - it is a great project. Deanna will give you all the info you need - in a PM, as she said.

THANKS DEANNA - I'M GLAD THEY ARRIVED SAFELY - VERY SIMPLE, BUT THEY EPITOMISE WHAT AUSTRALIA IS ALL ABOUT.
My Mum and Dad have wattle growing outside their side fence and it's just glorious at the moment. It's called a Cootamundra Wattle the foliage is a dull green. Of course Kangaroos are one of our national emblems and the Parrots fly all over the place.
