I don't have that machine but sometimes my machine has a mind of it's own too! After I call it a few 'not so nice' names, thread and re-thread several times, and finally walk away for awhile and let it rest, it starts behaving like a 'good little machine' again! It can't always be my fault, can it? LOL
There NO is now problem with your machine the small Owl scissor in JEF has only 5 colours I sent PM to smithandsmith about it. I have Janome Ditigizer JR so I used the pes format. When I enlarged the sissor I used the pes format. So it is not your machine that got confussed I hope this makes you feel better.
It had 6 colours before I did the edit! I stitched it out to find it was too small.
I had to phone my dealer today to sort out a problem with my machine. Luckily he was able to talk me through how to solve the problem without me having to take it to him. He is a 2 hour drive away, I was down by him last week and the week befroe he came up here on his yearly visit. The machine was fine then, typical. Hope you can get your problem solved
I jumped up and down till i got a replacement machine, once they go wrong it seems to keep going. I know a lot of people having trouble with this machine. good luck.
Not with my MC9000, but my old Singer, Golden Touch. Wouldn't stop after I turned it off and pulled electric plug. Hubby got tired of my yelling and got my MC.
Good luck with your machine.

Yep Sue, mine is in the shop - because it had a mind of it's own. I haven't had any trouble with the 'Edit' button, but I do feel your pain in trying to figure it out. So sorry that happened to you.
