You can also use organza fabric(it cuts away quiet easily) also available in glitter that shines through beautifully

Well I just found out that "mylar" here)in Cape Town) is cellophane wrapping paper which you get in all different colours.!!?????

this celephine wrapping paper works well in ornaments I have not used it to wash but most florist have mylar ribbon you can also use that is what I used in sa design I just tested for meganne she will post it soon.

Hi, You might like to try where they have ballet costumes made.My niece had some shimmery/plastic fabric on a tutu but it was when she was little. Also try the Bride Shop in Gale St.
Mylar is used like applique,and the sparkle of it shines through the stitching.
