company was no help either, so I will just have to suck it up and go back to Medeira thread where I don't have problems

I all wank you all for your comments, I think I will keep it and try it for some other things suggested, or in my serger. Its sort of like all the fabric stash I have, I hate to get rid of it, but thanks too all who offered to buy it.

First try the metalic thread needle. It has a larger eye.I have used that type needle for some thicker type thread, and the actual embroidery design came out better than the normal thinner thread.

My brother is ok with it as long as I sloweed it down some...love their colors....make sure your sewing cavity is cleaned out and some didn't happen to gather around the moving parts...mine really made a mess of the thread once because of that...took a q-tip and gently cleaned it all out..worked nicely afterwards......deanna

What machine do you have? Before you give up, slow the machine down and use a new needle. I was having problems with Sulky. took my machine in several times with no luck, changed dealers. there was a small burr somewhere in the machine, has been fixed and works great with all threads ever since. Don't give up yet

I have the Janome 10001 and I find I have to use a thread stand with the Metro thread. Also with the thread I bought on e-bay from radiant threads. I did not like their's too much so will not buy that brand again. I usually use Maderia, Sulky or RA. Try a thread stand with the Metro and see if that works. My machine kept on breaking the thread till I started using the thread stand.

If I could give my two cents.. I am with you.. bought a bunch of metro and my machine hates it.. I have a bernina and have heard they are funny about threads.

I bought some metro and it sews just fine. I , too have a Bernina perhaps the needle is the problem or slow it down a speed. my favorite thread has always been Robison-Anton, but always secure the thread with the snap on bottom as I had a spool pool on me once. What a mess!!

I spent $300.00 on Madeira thread and I could not use it on my machine. It would bust constantly. I finally gave it all to my mother-in-law who embroiders by hand and loves it.

I purchased Metro thread to try also. It will not sew on my commercial Amaya XT machine. It sews fine though on my Brother ULT so I just use it there. I always use a thread stand for convenience of thread changing so that may make some difference. The plastic sided Metro bobbins sew just fine even on my commercial machine. Other uses for the thread might be for sewing and serging. Different colors thread together can create great looks with a serger. Your thread then won't be wasted.

Using Metro bobbins along with their thread solved my problems. I also decreased the tension a great deal.
I use a Janome 350e. I also use the Medeira thread, but kept working with the Metro till I got it to work. It was too great an investment for me to give up. It took several days of trial and error. I am sorry that it has been such a problem for you.

I can understand your frustration. My Husqvarna Designer II just doesn't like QA thread for some reason known only to itself while it sews other cheap threads, even the cheapest, perfectly. Maybe I just bought a reel or two of a bad batch of QA - I might try it again some day because it does have some pretty colours.
Have you tried Marathon threads? There are many brands to choose from, though, which are not so heavy on the pocket. It's a great disappointment, and expensive, if you buy a packet of threads and they don't sew nicely - it's also not always possible to find single spools of thread in different brands to try them out.
I feel for you and hope you can find a thread, as well as Madeira, that can create lovely designs.

My Brother machine also refuses to play nicely with QA thread :( I think because it seems thicker than other embroidery thread? However the cheapest of the cheap threads .. sews fine.

Alma, I have designer 1 and it is ok with QA...I just leave the thread on the table and thread up and over the thread holder and thread as normal and hey presto it sew ok... Sally

If you are going to sell it, please private msg me and let me know a price. I would be willing to buy some from you to help you try and recoup some of your money. I have never had problems using it.

What a shame.....I have to use a thread stand for it to work on my machine, but I'm sure you have tried that.....I'm sure this was a let down for you...I hope you didn't buy a lot.....best wishes.
