but obviously I'm not doing something right I have read the book emailed the company I just don't know what else to do. I changed the needles out , changed the thread, Please help me figure out how to get this thing sergering again. I started a blaket I'ld like to finish.

They told me at the company that the top has to loop on the bottom but it just won't catch. If anyone can help me I sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Ronny

When you thread your machine, make sure you are threading it in this order....Upper Looper Lower looper (make sure you are catching the thread on the back of the looper also, either a hook or a hole in the back of the lower looper to thread through) right needle, left needle. I helps to number the thread stations.....would be (looking at it.) 4-3-1-2. The needle thread MUST be threaded last. Let me know if this helps. I am sending you a PM also.

Ronny,
I hope you've solved your prob by now, but if not try threading the upper and lower looper in reverse order from what you have tried so far. It is very important that the threads cross over each other in the correct order to make the chain. Whenever I have a prob with mine that is the cause. Be sure to have your loopers extended to the right position when threading.

I'm trying but I can't figure it out. I have tried 50 times at least un threading it and rethreading in a different order and I still can't get it to work! When i do you WILL hear me so the happy dance! LOL

I have a whole slew of 'words' I use when threading my husqvarna serger. My only problem was getting the thread into the tension disk properly. Finally turned the silly machine around so I could see the back and poof easy threading. so hang in there it's probably something simple.

I had that same problem also.. I have a Viking and had to get the book out .. I have had this for 17 years and works like a charm..I changes the needles first and then followed to a tea and worked like a charm.. but for 2 hours I was ready to pull out my hair.. I try never to let the looper threads run out and when I change threads I tie off the threads and put them thru..

I am on my second serger. My first was a Brother, and I hated it, I could never get it to stay threaded. I would have to take it in for the sew/vac guy to thread it properly. I now have a cheap new singer and it works like a charm, but like mnladyus said, you have to follow those directions to a T. If all else fails, take it to your sew/vac place and see if they can get it going, (if you have a place to take it to). Hope you can get it fixed. I know this isn't much help. BTW Have you gone to You Tube to see if they might have an instructional video? Mine came with a DVD which helped a lot.

I called Hancock where I bought it from they told me to bring it by and she will thread it for me I have to go to the dr Monday so I'm gonna swing by there and see if she can work some magic on it. I guess I shouldn't have bought something that the store is 2 hours away. LOL

I have a Viking, but you have to make sure that you thread it in the order that the book says. On mine, I thread the two bottom ones first, and the two top threads need to be under the foot, and pulled to the left side of the machine. I than drop the foot, and turn the wheel a few times by hand before I start sewing. On my old serger, with the two bottom threads, there was a little lever that I had to open and close when I threaded it. Sometimes even the needle might be bent just a little and not catching the threads. Good luck, hope you figure it out.
