message (e-mail) I saved the links to my draft folder and then make it a new file. Having heard that external hard drives can go bad I am starting to save my files into a new e-mail set up just for embroidery. This doesn't take too much time and is a safe guard. We can never have too much back ups... [If you do a few minutes of saving each day filing will not get out of hand you can get caught up.]

Good idea, I will do that this evening. When I get some designs from other sites they let you download or email, I do both and then put that email into a folder called embroidery.

I saved my favorite sites (hyperlinked) in a document on my flash drive memory stick. Recently I was traveling (had laptop with me) but could not go on-line at a friends house. I used the stick in their computer, went on-line and just toggled back and forth to my favorites! Would not help in a crash, but sure helped me in a pinch. Linda

Your smart to do so.....sadly I have not backed-up my files, which is scary.....I've got to stop saying I'm going to and do it I would hate to lose my embroidery designs....Emblibrary is the only place I know I can go to and re-download.....thanks for reminding us.

Feeling stressed out about clutter a while back I challenged myself that at the end of the day to pick five things up and put them away. For a while I put five things in the trash each night. Decided to do this with my files and in no time have got my embroidery files in order. Less stress happier me.
