It is the very same as the iron on tricot knit interfacing that I buy from Joanne's. I think it is an advertising ploy to make you think it is a new product. Save your shipping and handling charges and shop the interfacing section of your favorite fabric store.

After the design finishes sewing I put a piece of soft thin cloth (keeping the weight of the fabric in mind) with fusable web under the hoop and run the first outline color (the one that is the shape of the design) take hoop off trim and then fuse. So much cheaper than your cloud cover...

I also have used similar fabric for several years which fuses on the underside.

Yes, you're right. I think alot of the embroidery sites cater to people who don't necessary sew or visit fabric shops.

I have been using this stuff for years, because the granddaughters complained of the designs scratching. I saw this iron on interfacing used on some high end t- shirts and thoutht I already have that from the old knit days. We used it as interfacing on knit facings. I bet you have it also. Kay

An interfacing like Vilene for stretchy fabrics that you iron on the backside of an embroidery after it is finished to prevent scratching of a sensitive skin (like baby's). It is marketed especially for embroidery under the name 'Cloud cover', but is not very different from a knit interfacing like Vilene/Vlieseline G 785 which I use.

Thank you, mops

Just go to your local fabric store and ask for iron on interfacing for knits. I comes in an off white and a black. I prefer to use a pressing cloth between it an the iron. The black especially does not like the direct iron on it.

Thanks Kay for the info, when I was surfing yesterday on the web I happen to see this cloud cover, and it looked just like tricot interfacing. Not that I know, I won't bother ordering any. Hope you have a Blessed Sunday. Terre

Pauline has used it a lot for her GK's clothes and if it starts to come away from the design her DIL just irons it down again.

She tells me the kids love it cause their designs don't scratch any more.

The only place selling it here in Aus, charges nearly 5 times the price of Shoppers Rule so I've purchased two lots from Shoppers Rule and I also love what it does.
