sometimes you can look in the tool department and find things almost like what you are looking for. I found some in my husbands tool box.these people who put out the sewing devices have to find the idea somewhere.
Mine didn't come with a ruler so I traced and centered my hoops on graph paper and printed out on plastic transparency and then laminated. Had to improvise due to bad weather when I was in need of one. Could probably do something like I did for a cross ruler.
I think it's part of a tool kit and not sold separately.
That was the one I was looking for - when I found the other one. You are good!
That is it. SWN emailed me back and she does have it also. It is a bit pricey but it looks like it would be helpful. I'll add it to my Christmas list unless I can find a reason to deserve something sooner.
Teri, didn't your hoop come with a measuring guide of some sort?
yes it has a template that goes inside the hoop, but this would be handy also. You know you can't have to many tools, right?
twee-any of the notions you see Nancy using are almost always available on her website-nancysnotions.com
I have looked there and not found it. I emailed SWN and hopefully she'll respond.
the link given below is a hem gauge, I never thought of using that to measure placements. What a great tip! I thought you were referring to the T-ruler for squaring off.(which can also be found in a hardware store.
The link below is not what I saw them use. It was plexi glass, and had X & Y axis and fit inside the hoopj.
I know I owe you an email, so sorry, now dinner is burning so gotta run. MWA!
hugs, Meg
Is this is what you were looking for

I've had one of those since Noah was a boy, I never thought to use it for design placement.
I just use a 5 inch rule, 12 inch rule I broke ages ago and kept the pieces. LOL!!!
The set Shirlene recommended looks like it would be good to. I'll see what SWN emails me back with.
