very nice...one of these days I am going to attemp cutwork...hey maybe I can go ask the how here...
Hi Roslyn Georgous as always!! What design number was this at my embroideries? I love the corner and would like to get it to make a set for mu bureau . Thanks so much ! Suzanne
Thank you . Designs are "Floral Cutwork" by Janice Stewart CD/Disk 413 1521-01 Hope this helps Ros
What a lovely table linen you've made,Roslyn.Could you tell where the pattern is from if you don't mind. Also, what type stabilizer you used on it.Thanks for sharing your project.:~D
The design is from My Embroideries. The stabilser for the Cut work is Wash-a-way (Vylene 54l) After I did the pulled thread work I stiffened the fabric with some off cuts of 541 dissolved in warm water. Makes it lovely and stiff -better than starch. I use this stiffening for all my work. Also when I get to wash them after using them. I keep a bottle in the fridge with dissolved 541 .. Works a treat. Hope this helps
You did a great job, it would have been very tricky to do the pulled thread work only part way down the runner. Cheers Claire
Thanks Claire . Yes it was. You need to be on your toes so you don't go too far as you wouldn'e want the thread work to show through the flowers hugs Rossie
