Our government officials don't notice as they have huge paychecks every week. You can bet they have no clue how hard it is for the average American. We are fighting just to keep a roof over our heads and no increases in veterans retirements or social security again for next year. If they each gave back 10% of their salary to the government branch they work for, you can bet life would be easier for the rest of us and they wouldn't even notice the cut. But, I'm dreaming again.

It is the same here. The banks and government need to wake up and look around at what is going on. Help the small companies and never mind the big ones. Nobody ever helps the little guy, and they are the ones that employ people and they manufacture things made right at home, instead of overseas. We don't need the imports, let start making in the USA and Canada.

The banks are not lending to business and they are still taking their bonuses, such a disgrace. good businesses are going to the wall.

I had to close my business when all this started. Boy did that hurt. I still see my old customers around and they are always saying they wish we were still opened. But wishing and buying are too different things. hehehe...I miss it and my customers.

I thing the people saying that are too far removed from the common people to know/realize the truth. And that is not to our favor.

VOTE in November and get the current politicians OUT of office. We all have to take responsibility for this country and keep informed, research, and ultimately VOTE in every election. It is just a sign of the end times, too.

Deanna I did work similar to yours. In 2007 our company went into forclosure--to much of the work going to other countries!! That put about 300 people out of work. Trying to find work around here is almost impossible!! H&*

I agree with you on all the layoffs and business closures. I know where I live unemployement is really high. It is so sad as people are losing their homes on forclosures and unable to pay property taxes. My advise to everyone is to get out and vote in November and see if we can make a change in the way our country is headed. Hugs, Mary

'They' want you to believe we are coming out of it but just saying it doesn't make it so. 'They' want you to blindly follow the herd and swallow 'their' words hook line and sinker. Believe what you see with your own eyes.Use your own good judgment. I won't make a political statement here because they will ban me from posting LOL. All I can say is be informed and educated on the issues and VOTE! We are in danger of losing are freedom as we know it.I'll shut up now before I get carried away LOL

Sounds like how it was in NC - now it is starting around here in UT, as well. Rick and I don't have jobs - so we are in this economic downslide - big time. All we can do is PRAY and then also vote alot of people out of office in November.

It is so sad to hear of all the people that has lost their Jobs, I say thanks all the time for the job that my hubby has, and that I am able to work with my hands from home too, too bring in that little extra. Everything just seems to be getting more expensive, and more people struggle to make ends meet.
I really think we must pray harder, and hope that God is not too mad at us, and will help those in need.
Well, here is hoping that every thing will start changing for the best, rather sooner than later
Hugs and God bless
Marietta

Oh My! I hate so many ppl are losing their jobs and such...Unfortunately we won't see relief. My thoughts are we are living in the last days, and USA isn't mentioned at all in the end (In Revelation). We keep this up and we will be a third world country. We are heading that way. But enough of the politics. I get upset when I see and hear about the things that are going on in DC, trying to pass laws without OUR consent.... AAARRRRGGGG

This I too believe, voters need to really know who they are voting for, research, research on who you vote for. Know how they stand on issues. I don't think things are going to get better for a long time. People like us who live on S.S. will be seeing our checks smaller this coming yr. because MDCR is going up & we are not going to get a COL raise. that more money taken out of your check for MDCR but no increase so that= a smaller check. Tighten your belts we are in for a long ride. *

Those politicians are not losing anything out of their paychecks - what a shame that they can't feel the impact of the laws they are creating.

blueeyedblonde by blueeyedblonde 06 Oct 2010

I agree. The polit. don't lose as if they want more $ they just vote a raise for themselves! I think they get far to much already! They are the ones who should cut back and give the extra to the ones who really need it.

I agree with you. I still see such sadness and fear for our economy and country. I keep praying and my husband does a lot of research to try to keep us solvent for the future. I hope people use their heads and do a lot of questioning and research before making political decisions now.
