You can get WSS in the UK from sewessentials. It is the fabric type.Suet
Update -
I ordered some WSS yesterday afternoon from BSK and it arrived this morning! I was worried when I opened it, as it was the plastic film type and not the "vilene" type. However, I tried it out for FSL and it worked. I think with that response time I should forgive BSK for the poor description of the goods on their site!
I buy everything online - I don't have local supplier of specialised stuff. I just use Google to do a search and it's amazing what turns up in eBay stores - I just took delivery of needles for metallic thread plus iron-on backing for covering the back of embroidery (e.g. inside baby clothes, to stop it scratching) and I bought them on eBay; I'm now waiting for a dozen pairs of tiny scissors to use in those wonderful scissor holders!

I mostly buy threads etc on line but I have had a real problem sourcing WSS. Where did you get the scissors from?
How nice to hear from so many Cuties in the UK. Try Boyes stores for all your needs. Or Lords as they do Floriana stabalisers.
Good heavens! I thought Boyes (pronounced Boyziz) was a local shop!! (I remember their first shop, in Bridlington.) They sell EVERYTHING, and cheap too! I LOVE that shop! I have three branches within 10 miles of me, it's where I get all but the most specialised stuff.
You cannot beat a Boyes, though I can only get to them infequently. I just love to wander though the fabic / haby section, bliss thinking about it
We have a Boyes where I buy fabrics and various bits and pieces. Unfortunately they don't sell specialist things like stabiliser. In the 1970's the Boyes in Grimsby used to have huge tables covered with remnants of interesting fabric.(Very cheap) When my daughter was small, all of our clothers originated there.
Well I never expected to raise so many memories. I remember Boyes too from years ago mostly in Norfolk but we now have a local 'modern' one which is superb.
I use ETC for all my needs now :-)
Big hugs from London

Thanks this looks a interesing site, so will look tomorrow when I have time - otherwise it will be bed tomorrow
Lord sewing are good for stabilizers. Jaycotts are good for general haberdashery and do a free catalogue. I would invest in a shade card for buying threads though. The colours are not always what you expect!!
I live in Somerset but use a little shop in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. when I go and visit my mother. They have a very good selection of fabrics, especially if you are a quilter. I can give you the address if ever you are up that way.Suet
