I,ve always made mine and my childrens clothes. I made my own Wedding Dress and the Flower Girls Dresses. My daughters matric Ball Gown, had beading also. I did Free hand machine embroidery, before I got my embroidery machine
I have 3 Knitting Machines, and can Knit by hand.I also Crochet.
I'm also good at household repairs and woodwork.I love flower arrangement, painting and drawing.
We do our own car repairs and I'm very helpful at that.
Gardening is also a hobby and I.ve had a crop of lovely tomatoes.
Ive tried to play my piano ,not very good at that but I do know how to read music. Then I picked up Guitar playing .Now I've got an Electric Guitar with a huge amp that my son fixed. I surprised myself and my family because I can play at high volume and make the house ROCK.I wish I had taken this up earlier.Just shows you,re never too old to learn.
Thanks for this question.
From Bev
P.S. see my crochet jacket that I made for someone.
My son's fiance' is the model.

I hate to say this but I'm a Jill of all trades and master of none. hehehe... There isn't much I've not tried from Porcelain dolls to stain glass, crochet, knit, crewel, painting and of course anything to do with fabric. I've jewelry made, smocking, stamping and scrapbooking. You name it I've at least tried it once. I truly love working with fabric, so that is what I stick to... I think it is the ADHD I've never been diagnosed with. hehehe... Great question Bev. Thanks.Terre

Gosh girl you have some doh-ray-me!!! I could never afford to test even half of these!!! Good for you and give thanks to God for your good fortune!

i have tried almost everything also. I can crochet but not knit. I like to go to craft shows and when I see something I like but is overpriced I think to myself I can make that. And usually do!I have even taken things apart to see how they were made.

I would love to learn to tat. I do almost all other hand crafts like knit, crochet, hand embroidery, etc. but tatting has never been one that I've been able to conquer. Also envy all who can pick up a paint brush and just create a beautiful picture or design!!!

Try needle tatting. I bought a kit from michaels , 3 needles and an instruction book. So much easier than a shuttle. Also I've recently learned how to cro-tat.

tatting is probably the only thing I've never tried. LOL

When I was at college one of our group always had some tatting on the go. She would tat between lectures, coffee breaks going up and down in the lift... At the end of 3 years she had produced enough lace to go round her wedding dress and the three bridesmaids dresses. It is not difficult to do

I want to learn how to make glass beads. That is something I admire everytime I see a person on a market working with fire and glass nad then there are so wonderful little creatures like frogs and ladybugs and many more. Or colorful beads... Someday ;o)

Found a screen printer machine (the ones with light bulbs)at a yard sale and haven't used it yet. It says it can make prints even on paper napkins. Just waiting for a chance to try it out but I don't want to waste the supplies until I can print in mass quantities.
