Yes, I am a charter member of the Cute family and the forgetter family. And my husband is complaining that he is forgetting also. Boy, are we in trouble in the future if neither one of us can remember anything. Can you see us in the future trying to find where we parked the car.
Yep that's me,and in the words of the poem, it's getting me-er every day.
Thanks for giving me a smile.
Boy can I relate to that poem! I always put things away where I will know they are when I need them and when I do, darn, where the heck did I put that?
My late mother used to talk about her forgettery (brain)
Hope you have a good day
Margaret, I think I have had a day or two like that - or was that someone I know that was and I thought it was me? Hehehe!
Are we having a bad day? I will give you flowers to cheer you along.
Here is the whole poem.
Forgetter Be Forgotten
My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke
For when I'm 'here' I'm wondering
If I really should be 'there'
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!
Oft times I walk into a room,
Say 'what am I here for?'
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.
At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!
When shopping I may see someone,
Say 'Hi' and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, 'who the hell was that?
Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.
CAN YOU RELATE ???
