Look soo beautifull to me. You sure can be proud on the result ! Super piece !
Wow! Did you learn cutwork at the workshop? This is Wow! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Beautiful. Very nice job, could you please tell me how to attach the lace to the main material and get a nice finish like you have.
Thank you. Firstly I stich the lace together. To attach the lace I start with a piece of fabric about 2 inches larger on all sides than the hole in the middle of the lace. I make sure the fabric is well starched (quite stiff) place the lace on top and measure in numerous spots to ensure it is even, then I do a tack down row using straight stitching (this is easier to remove if there is a problem). Once I am happy with how it is sitting I trim the fabric back to just outside the stitching - a bit like applique, then I do a wide satin stitch which covers the straight stitching and the fabric edge. Hope this helps. Cheers Claire
This looks great & I know it must have taken you a really long time to make this. Beautiful. Arlene

Beautiful tablerunner. The lace must have been a labour of love, so many stitches, but the result is breathtaking. Great work!
Thank you, I am fortunate to have 2 embroidery machines so I was able to set one running doing the lace whilst I did other things on the other machine.
Beautiful and what a lot of work but it certainly was worth the time
Congratulations Claire I really love this runner. A lot of work but well worth the effort

Was this part of your challenge?
Thanks Kerry. I already had the table runner done before our challenge was determined so I decided to do the matching doily as my challenge. Cheers Claire
Clair, this is stunning - great job. That is alot of hours of work in this set.
Thank you Shirlene, yes the project spanned many many weeks with the pieces of lace being done in between other projects. Cheers Claire
That is what I thought - lots of work and taking your time with it and breaking up your time also helps.
