I want to introduce you to Little Miss Hollywood. She reminds me so much of Shirley Temple that I had to do this set. The designs came from the set, Little Miss Hollywood, by All Granny's Girls site. The doll has 15995 stitches and 11 color changes. The ruffle pink dress has 12,562 stitches with 4 color changes, the jumper - 7676 stitches and 3 color changes, the yellow dress with Scottie dog has 8028 stitches with 3 color changes. The Pink dress with Pantaloons and the hat have a total of 21890 stitches - 7 color changes for the dress, and 5 colors for the hat. The dolls is stitched on peltex, and the clothes are stitched on organza on the bottom and wash away/tear away on top. I was reminded of my youth when I would sit with my mother and cut out paperdolls. I had so much fun with them, and would even design and make some of their cloths. I need to get the "tack it back" to put on the back of the clothing so that the clothes will stay on. Do you remember those tabs that would never hold the clothes on?

I remember those tabs! They seemed to be so frustrating as a small child. But I loved playing with paper dolls. Great work. They came out adorable :)

Oh many were the hrs. I spent under the piano playing with my paper dolls. I remember Shirley Temple & my oldest daughter has an original S.T. doll but alas left it on the train we took to N.Y. more than 50 yrs. ago. This is beautiful work you have done. I can see how she was hard to resist. *

Glad to see I'm not the only one reliving my youth through All Granny's Girl site. I have ordered several of her sets and when I'm feeling down they are a sure fire way of bringing a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing your beautiful set. Makes me feel a little better knowing i'm not alone with my doll obession!

Maggi, please share the ones that you have created with us, too.

Oh, please do show us your dolls. You may inspire more of us to do this. I did have fun stitching these out, and my hubby asked me if I was having fun. He even made the comment that he remembered paper dolls and hating that their clothes would not stay on. He was the only boy with 4 sisters, so I bet he did get badgered into playing with them from time to time. LOL

She is adorable. I think she looks like my Shirley Temple doll. I loved paper dolls, but haven't had the courage to try the embroidered ones. Thanks for posting this darling set.

Oh she is so lovely and I do remember the paper type of dolls...the tabs that wrapped around the back of the doll to 'try' and stay there...

I don't know if I will give these away. LOL One of my friends saw this and told me she wanted to play too. LOL I do plan on making a set for the little girls I sew for from time to time, but this one may just have to stay with me.

I too had great fun with paper dolls. One set had a whole wedding party, with clothes for the wedding and for after the big day. I still have it. They would be about fifty years old! Needless to say, didn't let my own daughter play with it!

These are so cute.... I had a Shirley Temple doll. But my favorite was the Shirley Temple Paper Dolls. I still collect PPD's when I come across one that I haven't seen. :)

These are so adorable - so happy to see a nice new set - even though it so reminds me of the Little Shirley Temple doll that my Mother (Miss Loretta) owned - they were the same age and she remembers her - when she actually was a little girl in the movies - they both were little then. You have done a beautiful job with this set - I too had days of playing and laughing with what we would have those paper dolls do - as days gone by! How fun, and something a man would never understand, right?

These are so cute. They do take me back to those days of playing with paper dolls and of course those frustrating tabs that never would hold.
