This backpack is for a friend's little 4 y.o. who loves Batman. I bought this design from Embroidery designs.com My Brother machine has the license for them, but couldn't find one from them. I didn't charge her for the design. I did charge her for the name, and it is my first time using the PE-Design for the name. I'm moving on up. hehehe... (the PED is my daughters who left it here at the house. ) She was showing me how to work with it. :)

What kind and size needle did you use?

Believe it or not, I actually used a regular size 11 embroidery needle. But I must say this was a thin denier.

Terre, this 4 year old young man is going to love his batman backpack with his name on it. Was it hard to do?

Reva, it took some time to center it, and patience to hoop it. hehehe...Not sure I'd do them for a living though. hehehe.

The funny thing about this, is I went by the colors it called for, and I'm not too thrilled with it, I should have stuck with the all black and white trim. :)

I think the fonts and colors are great. Good job!!!! but how did u manage to hoop the embroidered area? Do u mind sharing?

Kind regards
Starlet

Starlet. I used a very thin stabilizer and pinned it to the backpack. I had to release the spring quite loosely on my hoop, and then center everything, then tighten it as much as possible. While stitching, I tried to keep it from drawing up by lightly putting my fingers around the area. I used my largest hoop for the emblem and the smallest for his name. I also had to rotate the designs to get them to fit right. Like I told Reva above, it took time and patience. I will say she loved it and paid me extra for it. :)
