I have watched a video on WIMP before from him, Nick Vujicic, prior to this. I have added the link for the video that I watched.
I admit he seemed genuine, even though I did feel he was making a buck as an inspirational motivator.
Tonight I watched the movie "Invictus" starring Morgan Freeman, and Matt Damon, directed by Clint Eastwood.
I have quite a few things to say.
First being, when I saw the video (that I posted the link for) I felt a mixture of emotions.
Everything from "Thank you God for blessing me & my family with no disabilities"
to "How petty am I to feel sorry for myself?"
and I even felt a kind of strength.
I saw your post days ago, but I had no interest because I had no idea what FIFA meant.
After watching "Invictus" and seeing the letters FIFA I came back to your post.
While watching Invictus I had goose bumps thoughout most of the movie.
After watching the video for the link you posted, I feel empty.
I am not sure if it (your link) was a 2010 FIFA commercial or, a Hyundai commercial but, I feel that Nick Vujicic has sold out and learned how to make a fast buck on what we consider a disability and he has (obviously) learned to overcome.

First off I have no idea what you mean about the movie Invictus, as I don't go to movies. So I'm not sure what the comparison is. But I will say that Nick Vujicic probably has an agent that keeps up with his schedule. To think if he didn't take advantage of his special talents (motivational speaker) he probably wouldn't be able to support himself or his family. Pssst, I'm sure I heard him give his testimony of how he turned his life over to Christ, because he had no where to go or turn to. The message that he shares with young people, to me, is better than some of these so called athletes that live double lives speaking with a double tongue. Thank you for sharing your input. I know others can probably see both sides of the picture. ;) Hugs, Terre

I wish he would give inspirational messages for more than soccer.

Karen, I actually think he does. If you google him it might show that he does. I know there is someone like him that is a minister who travels. I don't remember his name and this might be the same guy. It's worth a try. I'm almost positive that the minister/motivational speaker is Aussie just like this soccer guy.
