I appreciate all of your suggestions! I will try them all. Thnaks again!!! :)
I bought a puff foam alphabet from Embroidery Library.
Wait for a sale though, I think it was $20.
I haven't used it yet, but I haven't been disappointed
with EL ever.
You can use only satin stitches and as a patterned fill would flatten the foam. So most alphabets in 4D could be used, as long as you don't use the check mark for a patterned fill - and that restricts the width of the satin stitch. You might have to increase the density to prevent the foam shining through.
What about using an appliqued fonts, just for the first cutting line, and then use the same fonts as a full stitch out. Think this should work, for the puffy foam. Hugs Yvonne
I've used puffy foam before. Used it under a file with satin stitches, so I would suggest you try out one letter of an alpha that has it's fill with long satin stitches. Then if it works & looks good, go for it!!
First off I do not know of a "tried and true" site that guarantees their designs whether it is puff foam or any other design. Buzztools offers many free designs but, they do not stand behind them... it is "buyer (downloader) beware". The majority of the sites offer no refund after the download (because of copyrights).
There are many tutorials on how to embroider puff foam, but from what I can see no guarantees of designs.
