Dear Cuties, unfortuntly photography was banned inside the Kimono museum, I did however buy some postcards which I will scan and up load the pictures, I'm not sure what sort of resolution I will get but here goes anyway!
If there are no pictures I found images of his work by doing a Google search. Below is the link to some of his work.
I would love to see photos as I am not going to get to Japan in this lifetime, pse. show us ! Or was it one on those places where no cameras are allowed ?
I will be going to Japan in March. Thanks for sharing, I will put this on the list of things to see!
If you stay at the Station Inn in Kowaguchiko, you have the added benefit of being able to see mount Fuji really well, enjoying the Lake nearby and being within a couple of kilometers of the museum, and other lovely sights. The inn is a trditional japanese style accomadation with futon and tatami mats, its a bit backpacker style but very clean, and economical, would not like to spend a week there my back would not like it, but it was a bit of fun. There was a traveling kimono display that was right here in Canton Ohio a couple of years ago, I didn't get a chance to go to it though. It was set up so the kimonos told a story.
