I had the same problem a while ago and took it back to the shop and it was that I was putting the bobbin in the wrong way...the thread must come out from the left side and go back on its self, not the logical way.....try it Im sure it will work....Denise
That was happening to me also at the end of a project...I changed the needle and all was well.
Hope this helps.

Debra, mine did that just a few minutes ago and it was the upper thread caught on the spool so it doesn't pull through properly and the bobbin will keep on sewing. I cut the upper thread and switched the spool around and re-threaded my upper thread and it sewed like a charm. Not sure if that was your problem, but it is something to look for when things go wrong. :) Hugs, Terre
Seems to be OK now but I am walking away for now just to stay sane! Thanks all!
Sane!? I didn't know any body who did machine embroider was sane. Surely not me. My husband gets so angry with me cause I talk to the machine and thinks I'm talking to him.
Did you wind the bobbin yourself? I wind my own and sometimes I get the bobbin too full and it does that. Maybe that's it. Good luck.
Yeah, I think that was the problem, did a bunch of wide stitches on the scapped felt and it is working now. Thanks.
mine did that and I checked and my bobbin did not wind right or you can check the thread in the bobbin may be in backwards or had come off the slot you put it in
I tried a different bobbin and took it out and put it back in, still messed up, scrapping that project, thankfully it was just a half sheet of felt.
