Thank you for letting me share my jacket with you and I enjoyed all your comments and flowers to all. We must keep the monogram thing alive for the sake of embroidery. Kay
Very colourdul jacket and the K comes out very nice
Thanks for bringing back memories. I spent hours doing my inital by hand on all my sweaters and blouses. Thank goodness for machines now.
If I had known how to hand monogram, I probably would have had my monogram on everything I owned. I do remember hand sewing all the name labels in all my clothes before I went to college. No one told me that if clothes were stolen from the laundry rooms, they didn't care if it had a label or not. Kay
I do not think anyone would have to be reminded of you were! It did turn out just like you described! It does look very similar to the big L for Laverne! I have been homesick since you told me you were going to Tn. I miss it sooo much. Everyday that goes by, I regret not buying the house in Wears Valley!! Tn. became my "home" by choice over the many yrs. that we spent so much time there. I have been all over the USA and I have never been anywhere that I loved as much as "the mountains"! You went home and I was the one that got homesick!
Oh, Linda, I have not lived in Tennessee since the 1960's, but every time I start across the Great Smokey Mountains, I feel excited and I am coming home.
Love it! Any comments on it at the reunion? Going to Marietta, GA for hubby's 50th in Oct. Was yours in GA or somewhere else?
Oh Gerry, I meet my long lost fellow cheer leader who married a draft dodger she meet in the Peace Corps and ran off to Canada. I did not have a chance to pick her brain , but what a story it would have been. Mine was in E. Tn. I know are in Knoxville, Every time you see the name Stokely associated with UT, that is my town Newport, Kay
