What a touching story. You are so kind and thoughtful to have done this for her. Reva
It sounds like you saved her sanity for her! God Bless you! It has to be scary to realize everything you had is gone and she's in a strange place. You returned to her some of her cherished things so she didn't lose "everything". Perhaps sewing will be good therapy for her. You must love her very much and she is right, she is rich where it counts. She has you! What a very thoughtful thing for you to do for her. Had it been me, I'd have cried and cried because my sewing is so important to me. I hope you two get to spend some quality sewing and together time. You may have given her the best medicine in the world hon, your love and thoughtfulness. God bless you both!
Meri
We are all getting old. I hope I have an angle like you around when I am old.
Blessings on you for being such a thoughtful and loving person. I am so glad that aunt is doing better. I hope the 2 of you have many happy hours sewing together.
Ruth, what a treasure you are - I'm so thankful that you kept her machines etc. Depression is such a hard thing to deal with, I am so glad she is back to her old self.
Can't wait to hear of your sewing adventures. Love and blessings Chris
Ruth! I am so glad to call persons like you my Cute Family. You are so Special!!! And yes, it does make your day when you are appreciated! Hugs, Judy
Ruth you must be a wonderful person to help your aunt so much. Now for the visits and embroidery together, will help her a lot. Love Marie
Makes you happy that you thought to ask about storing those items.
Thank you for sharing the update on your aunt. It is so wonderful to hear of healing. I am so glad you saved her treasures for her.
Ruth,
You are an amazing and thoughtful woman! Imagine how your aunt must have felt to have nothing of her life left when she returned to her old self. That discovery would have been depressing to someone who didn't suffer with depression. Now, thanks to you, she has a part of herself back and all of the memories to go with it. She can see and touch things that are familiar and loved. You have done more than give her material things, you have given her part of herself and helped make a difficult transition more bearable. Thank goodness she has you!
Kathy
Ruth, what a treasured niece you have been to your aunt - she surely was like a kid at Christmas - I remember a few times just like that with my Mother (Miss Loretta) when I would take her things that the CUTE family had sent to her - she was so thrilled and happy - I can just see your aunts face now - thinking of this - thank you for being such a wonderful niece.
How sweet. Ruth, you were an angel to keep her most treasured items. I'm sure she truly appreciated it. Someone mentioned to take her fabric shopping. I agree! She will be like a kid in a candy store. I know I am every time I go. hehehe...:) God Bless you with His goodness, as you have blessed someone with yours. Hugs,Terre
Wow, Ruth, that is sooo neat. Maybe you can take her to a fabric store now! She may have some sewing tricks to teach you! Good for you for storing all her sewing supplies and machines!
Seeing her possessions again had to be a big boost to her recovery. You did a wonderful thing.
You were a wonderful angel for her...Thank you for that...I am so glad she has something of her past...what a sad thing sometimes our kids do without thinking....Its a good thing she can still have her sewing...most of us would go bonkers without it....THERAPY THAT IS WHAT IT IS....
How unbelievably sad that her son got rid of all of her things. What a blessing you are to her to have kept her sewing things for her "just in case". How wonderful!! God bless you.

It's wonderful that you did that. Men just don't understand when it comes to things like that. I use to work in a nursing home & anything from home makes a big difference. Glad to hear she is doing better & it's great that you stored that stuff for her. Arlene
