Has anyone done photostitch? What fabric/stabilizer did you use ,and were you pleased with the results?

Thanks, Nadyne

I have done a design photostitch of my dog, a leonberg, on a T-shirt for my GD, I had used a sticky tear away stabilizer, I had liked the result, it looked as a photo, I had posted it in "projects", but I do not know how to find it now

i have done several photo stitch designs and used normal cotton for the cushion and a stitch and tear for the stabalizer,
this is the site i love to use as her desingns are realy good and very cheap lots of dogs and cats take a look and if you want a photo done then the price is good and only cost around £5.00, she has done three for me so far and they worked out great please note the ferret photo stitches are taken form photos of my own fur kids, i gave her permission to use them as finding ferret embroidery is hard

I haven't tried the photostitch designs yet. Thanks for asking this question however. I will file away this information until I'm ready to give it a go :) *4U

Nadyne, I have done a few photo stitch - I used a heavier weight fabric for each - as they were pillows - with a heavy weight tear away as the stabilizer and I love the outcome.

Hi Nadyne,
I have done a number of photostitch pictures on felt, using one layer of heavy cut away stabilizer. The results were gorgeous.
Happy Stitching,
Marjorie

What kind of felt? Did you shrink woolen, or was it the black felt for crafts?
Whatever, it sounds like I will have to try this. Thanks!

Actually, it was light peach, craft felt that purchased by the yard. It comes in many colors.
