I just finished my FSL Angel/Bear, but I thought this is supposed to be freestanding. The halo and stars on this one has no where to go if my WSS is disolved. Did I do something wrong? Thx.Terre

If you like this angel/bear to stitch out again, use it on top of organza or fine fabric like it. Then it can be used for anything. Cut around the design afterwards.I've done a few flowers like this, stitching some extra petals and they look 3D.

I did a FSL bird that is kind of floppy now and I plan to do several of the FSL ornaments for Christmas so I am hoping I can get them stiff, maybe using powdered starch, it did wonders on my ex hubby's army uniform!

hehehe... I just finished stitching out Caitlyn's tote that I'm sending to hold the angels, and I glued this bear on to it. (with fabri-tac, I love this stuff). Anyway, my camera battery went dead, so I'm having to wait to take pictures. It really turned out fabulous after all....

Re your little bear, Try painting both sides with Mod Podge it will seal it and it may be good enough to sew it onto something. Can't hurt to try. :-)
Hugs n blessings,

Meganne! What a great Idea with Mod Podge. I will do that, as it is just the wings that is falling apart. Thank you for the suggestion. Bless you! It is an adorable little bear.

I see that you have your answer. You are being wise saving it to use as something else.

No your Angel Bear is not FSL!
On Libbi's website it is listed under the Angel Section and not under the FSL Section.

Your stitch out is great but unfortunately it will fall apart once the water soluble is rinsed out!

boo hoo. Maybe I can salvage it by the paste that is on the WSS and use it on something else. I hope.

When the WSS is rinsed it will leave some in and when it is dry it will be stiff, therefore it will be freestanding. I rinse mine until it looks like all the backing is gone, it will be a little sticky, I put it between 2 pieces of plastic that is for stiff cross stitching and let the piece dry (in the winter I set it on the heat register) Once it is dry you will see it is stiff and can stand alone. Hope this helps, happy stitching

Thank you. I left a picture in the projects. I will go ahead and finish the project. If all else fails I'll do another one and use this one for something else.:)
